Dr. Nicol Turner Lee is a senior fellow in Governance Studies and Director of the Center for Technology Innovation at the Brookings Institution, where she co-edits the TechTank blog and podcast. She founded the AI Equity Lab, convening cross-sector experts to develop inclusive AI policy, with research on equitable technology access and mitigating online bias in AI systems. She is the author of Digitally Invisible (Brookings Press, 2024) and has testified before Congress. She holds a B.A. from Colgate and a Ph.D. from Northwestern.

Ari Redbord is Global Head of Policy at TRM Labs, an AI and blockchain intelligence company. Prior to TRM, he served as Senior Advisor to the Deputy Secretary and Undersecretary for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence at the U.S. Treasury, working with OFAC and FinCEN to safeguard the financial system from terrorist financiers and rogue state actors. Before Treasury, Ari spent eleven years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for DC prosecuting terrorism and cryptocurrency cases, and served as Vice-Chair of the CFTC’s Technology Advisory Committee.

Emily Barth has spent fifteen years in public interest law — first as a public defender at the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia, then at the Federal Defender Services Office focusing on policy issues affecting federal defender attorneys, and now as an Assistant Attorney General at the DC Office of the Attorney General focused on affirmative public advocacy litigation. In collaboration with partners, experts, and advocates, he helps advance meaningful state legislation to hold tech companies accountable for their societal harms. He has worked with state lawmakers to introduce novel legislation to prevent online scams and fraud on online platforms. He has a decade of experience working on policy, research, digital, and creative for various nonprofits and campaigns.

Zach Praiss (he/him) leads the design and implementation of Reset Tech’s advocacy efforts across the U.S. as the Head of State Strategy. John Breyault has led NCL’s advocacy for stronger consumer protections before Congress and federal agencies on telecommunications, fraud, and technology since joining in September 2008. He manages NCL’s Fraud Center and coordinates the Alliance Against Fraud coalition, and serves as Research Director for the Telecommunications Research and Action Center (TRAC), advocating on behalf of residential consumers of wireless, VoIP, and other communications services. Prior to NCL, he spent five years as director of research at Amplify Public Affairs. He holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from George Mason University.
