Script Your Future, launched in 2011, is a multi-year public awareness campaign about the importance of medication adherence coordinated and staffed by the National Consumers League. It is the culmination of years of research, led by NCL, and involvement by more than 100 partnering organizations, including government agencies.
Script Your Future helps people manage chronic health problems, such as diabetes, COPD, asthma, high blood pressure or high cholesterol.
Having a serious long-term health problem can take away a patient’s chances of a long and full life with their family – if they let it. The Script Your Future campaign is designed to help patients take back their futures by helping them take their medicine as directed.
Script Your Future provides patients, caregivers, and health care professionals with tools to manage medicines and sample questions to help start important conversations.
The Script Your Future campaign also includes coordinated national communications, paid advertising and targeted outreach in six pilot cities across the nation: Birmingham, AL; Cincinnati, OH; Baltimore, MD; Raleigh-Durham, NC; Sacramento, CA; and Providence, RI.
