LifeSmarts Heads to Orlando
As we approach 2026, LifeSmarts is pleased to announce that Orlando, Florida, will be the home for our annual National Championship. LifeSmarts, a program of the National Consumers League, continues to provide students with the tools and knowledge needed to navigate today’s complex, global marketplace.
Free for all students in grades 6–12, LifeSmarts teaches real-world skills across five key areas—consumer rights, the environment, health and safety, personal finance, and technology and workforce preparation—through engaging lessons and dynamic competitions. More than 125,000 students nationwide participate each year, gaining critical thinking, leadership, and decision-making skills while competing for recognition, scholarships, and the chance to advance to the National LifeSmarts Championship.
The program continues to grow, including an expanding Junior Varsity division and partnerships with leading youth organizations such as 4-H, FBLA, FCCLA, BPA, and SkillsUSA. LifeSmarts empowers young people, supports educators, and builds consumer-savvy leaders for the future.
