Please plan to join us for the first 2019 meeting of the NCL Health Advisory Council on Thursday, June 20, 2019 from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM in Washington, DC.
We are very pleased to present a panel discussion with leading experts on vaccines. Lena Sun of The Washington Post has written extensively about the outbreak of measles across the country. Kim Nelson has addressed the anti-vaxx movement and worked successfully on the local level with vaccine-hesitant parents in her home state of South Carolina; Dr. Linda Fu is a practicing Washington, DC pediatrician and a leading voice on the safety and efficacy of vaccinations; and Dr. Melinda Wharton is the Director of the Immunization Services Division at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
We will also briefly update our HAC members on NCL’s health programs and give HAC Members an opportunity to provide brief updates on their initiatives.
Panelists confirmed:
Lena Sun | Health Reporter, The Washington Post
Kim Nelson | Founder, South Carolina Parents for Vaccines
Dr. Linda Fu | Pediatrician, Children’s National Health System
Dr. Melinda Wharton | Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
