Doris Browne, MD, MPH – Brown and Associates, Inc., President & CEO

Doris Browne, MD, MPH is President and CEO of Browne and Associates, Inc., a health consulting company focused on addressing health inequities.

A medical oncologist and the 118th President of the National Medical Association, she led the initiative “The Urgency of Now: Creating a Culture for Health Equity.” Dr. Browne has been recognized nationally and internationally as an educator and speaker, with publications in scientific journals and media outlets. Her public health work includes cancer, women’s health, environmental justice, and telehealth. She contributed to an international disaster preparedness program for 17 West African nations. A retired Colonel from the U.S. Army Medical Corps, Dr. Browne also retired from the NIH/National Cancer Institute, where she managed the breast cancer portfolio. She holds degrees from Tougaloo College, UCLA, and Georgetown University, with training at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Dr. Browne is a member of several professional organizations, including AORTIC, IME, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Her honors include the NIH Merit Award and the Top Blacks in Healthcare Award.
